Privacy Policy

QanTech ("the platform") is operated from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. References to "we," "us," or "our" mean the operator of the platform. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data in accordance with the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 ("PDPL").

1. Information we collect — B2B contact form

When you submit the contact form, we collect:

Full name
Phone number
Email address
Company or firm name
Firm size
Areas of interest
Any message you choose to provide
Your consent to this processing (whether you ticked the consent checkbox) and the time you gave it

We do not collect payment information or sensitive personal data. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.

2. Information we collect — lawyer directory

The lawyer directory displays professional profiles of lawyers practicing in Jordan, to help the public locate legal practitioners. No profile is published in the directory without the lawyer's prior explicit consent to be listed.

Listed information is limited to the professional details the lawyer consents to publish: name, practice areas, city, and contact information (phone, email, WhatsApp). We do not display any personal data about a lawyer beyond what they have consented to publish.

A listed lawyer may withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@qantech.ai, and the profile will then be removed from the directory. A listed lawyer may also request correction of any inaccurate or out-of-date information about them using the details in section 10.

3. Legal basis and purpose

For the contact form, we process your data on the basis of the consent you give by ticking the consent checkbox when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to your business inquiry. We use your data solely to:

Respond to your inquiry
Follow up regarding our services
Maintain internal records of our communications

For the lawyer directory, we process lawyers' professional data solely on the basis of their prior explicit consent, for the single purpose of displaying it in the directory for the benefit of people seeking legal representation in Jordan. A lawyer may withdraw consent at any time under section 2, and the profile will then be removed.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on Supabase cloud infrastructure hosted in the eu-central-1 region (Frankfurt, Germany), within the European Union. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is limited to the operator and authorized personnel. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Data retention

We retain B2B contact form data for a maximum of 24 months from the date of submission, or until you request its deletion - whichever occurs first. Submissions older than 24 months are reviewed and deleted.

Lawyer directory profiles are retained for as long as the lawyer's consent remains in place, and are removed when it is withdrawn per section 2.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use third-party analytics tools to understand aggregate site traffic. These tools do not receive personally identifiable information. We use only essential cookies and analytics cookies.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPL, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request erasure of your data
Object to our processing of your data
Withdraw your consent at any time
Lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in Jordan

To exercise any of these rights - including a request for access, correction, or erasure - email us at privacy@qantech.ai. We aim to respond within a reasonable time, and in any event within the timeframe required by the PDPL.

8. Lawyer confidentiality commitment

QanTech will not publish, share, sell, or disclose any information about lawyers, including their names, contact details, or practice areas, without their prior explicit consent.

This commitment applies to the lawyer directory: a lawyer appears in the directory only after opting in, and may withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@qantech.ai.

The only exceptions to this commitment are:

Service providers that process data on our behalf under a duty of confidentiality
Disclosures required by Jordanian law or by court order

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
